        US motor energy efficiency standards:

        When the first energy crisis in the early 1970s, American motor manufacturers such as GE, Reliance, and so on first introduced a highly efficient motor products. NEMA's NEMA Premium program is an industry voluntary agreement that allows NEMA members to sign the agreement and to use the NEMA Premium logo after reaching the standard.
